Tracee Ellis Ross has long been a fashion icon. Her bold and stunning looks are always on point, whether she’s on the red carpet or on a set. That’s the dilemma we run into when we began the search for her top red carpet looks. How do you pick the most iconic looks for a fashion icon?? But it had to be done. Here are our 7 favorite Tracee Ellis Ross red carpet looks in recent years.

Suited up!

Let’s begin with her most recent red carpet appearance. Tracee put the spotlight on black designers when she walked the red carpet at this year’s American Music Awards.

Lady in black!

Tracee was a killer in black at the 2016 NAACP Image Awards. The hair is our favorite part on this one.

Fiesty elegance!

This elegant and intricate dress is made sexy by the deep plunge and, of course, by Tracee’s acute awareness of how to show off an outfit.

All white everything!

White is a difficult color to pull off without looking like a bride, especially a full gown like this one. But Tracee’s couture gown to the SAG Award’s is anything but bridal.

Pretty in pink!

The MET Gala is THE event for experimental fashion. But, surprisingly, Tracee’s gown to this year’s MET Gala was not so experimental.  And that’s why it worked!  It had a feel of the classic fashion icon in here meeting the fun fashion gal in her.

Simply supreme!

Ok, there’s a reason orange is probably one of the least worn colors on the red carpet (and just in general fashion). It is a risky one. But when you’re a fashion goddess, there’s no color you’re afraid of. A bold color on a powerful gown. Yes, please!

The boldest yet!

This woman is just fun! She’s fun to listen to and she’s fun to watch, on and off the red carpet. Her super editorial gown at this year’s Emmy Awards was the most talked about look. A show stealer for sure!
