Famous Black Men with Dreads We Love!

black men with dreads, famous black men with dreads, famous black men

It’s simple. We absolutely love black men with dreads.

However, the hairstyle remains a controversial one. The stereotype that people who wear dreads are weed smoking hippies is one that still lingers. Those who rock dreads are at times looked at with suspicion and even refused jobs.

Recently, a U.S. Circuit Court ruled that it is legal to refuse jobs to people with dreadlocks.

Although this is a matter that affects both men and women, the heavier burden still lies on black men as more men tend to wear dreads. For that reason, we wanted to cheer and celebrate some famous black men who wear dreads with pride.

Chief Keef

The Chicago based rapper has been rocking dreads since he came on to the scene back in 2011. Guess dreadlocks is one of the (few) things he likes.

Fetty Wap

Fetty didn’t have dread when he blew up in 2014. Now, his dreads shoulder length and beautiful.

Is J Cole starting to look like Bob Marley? Is that where his vibe is going? Not sure, but we love it either way. This incredible rapper is always delivering powerful lines and visuals.

Lenny Kravitz

Hip hop doesn’t have a monopoly on dreadlocks. This rock star has been on dreads for a while now.

Another NFLer with gorgeous dreads. Who said you can’t dress up with dreads??
