In These Cities, Black Income Is Rising.
There is mixed news from FORBES when it comes to income gain, and loss, for the black community across the country. For the report, median household income information was gathered from 51 metro areas with at least one million residents from 2010 to 2016 to analyze changes. The result says this about black income:
The city with the highest median household income for blacks? Washington, DC with $69,246.
The city with the lowest median household income for blacks? Salt Lake City with $27,412.

The city with the most gain for median household income for blacks? Providence with 35.8% gain between 2010 and 2016.
The city with the least gain for median household income for blacks? Salt Lake City with -30.1% gain between 2010 and 2016.
