Announcement to all Wakandians! Writer and director Ryan Coogler has signed on for Black Panther sequel! 

The Hollywood Reporter has reported a deal was closed quietly between Marvel and Coogler for the filmmaker to write the script next year and for production to begin either in late 2019 or early 2020.

The mega success that was Black Panther brought in $700 million domestically and $1.3 billion worldwide, making it one of the highest grossing movies of all time. 

Coogler is currently developing a film with Michael B. Jordan and executive producing LeBron James’ Space Jam sequel.
